Marta Lança (1976, Lisbon) has a degree in Portuguese Studies, Comparative Literature and is a PhD student in Art Studies (FCSH-UNL). Journalist, programmer, translator, researcher and editor. She created the publications V-ludo, Dá Fala and is the editor of the BUALA portal (www.buala.org), launched at the Bienal de São Paulo (2010). She has written about culture and reporting for various publications in Portugal and Angola. She has translated from the French, books by Maxence Fermine, Jacques-Pierre Amettea, Asger Jorn, Achille Mbembe and Felwine Saar. She regularly maintains cultural projects with Portuguese-speaking African countries. In 2020, with Rita Natálio, she created Terra Batida, a network of socio-environmental conflicts, for which she made the conference-performance Superintensiva. She coordinates the Lisbon part of the ReMapping Memories project: Places of (Post) Colonial Memory (www.re-mapping.eu).

Traduziu do francês livros de Maxence Fermine, Jacques-Pierre Amette, Asger Jorn, Achille Mbembe e Felwine Sarr. Mantém regularmente projetos culturais com países africanos de língua portuguesa. Em 2020, criou, com Rita Natálio, a Terra Batida, uma rede de conflitos socioambientais para a qual fez a conferência-performance
